M.Sc. Econ. Chairman in FIVE Invest ehf. In transportation companies in Europe as MD or board member. Last two years as director in bio-fuel companies in Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Senior advisor at Landsel ehf.

Jón Kristjánsson, vice chairman of the Board

Mr. Kristjánsson is a private investor and has led and participated in many investment projects and companies both in Iceland and abroad. Mr. Kristjánsson has been a board member of ORF Genetics since 2006.

Jón Zimsen, Board Member

Pharmacist (cand. pharm.) from the Royal Danish School of Pharmacy and a tree farmer. Was a board member of the pharmaceutical company Delta Ltd.

Helga Valfells, Board member

Helga is the Managing Director of NSA Ventures and Icelandic venture fund.  Helga has enjoyed a diverse career in finance and international marketing.  Previous employers include Islandsbanki,  Estee Lauder , Merrill Lynch and the Trade Council of Iceland, where Helga worked with a wide range of startup companies in the early stages of export. Helga has also run her own consultancy and enjoyed a brief stint as an entrepreneur.  Helga has worked at NSA Ventures since 2009.  Helga is a board member of Transmit and Innovit and is the chairman of the board of Mentor, Gagnavarslan and Frumtak. 

Helga holds a BA degree in from Harvard University and a MBA from London Business School

Elín Soffía Ólafsdóttir, Board member

Ph.D., Professor of Pharmaceutical and Natural Product Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Iceland. In addition to teaching and research, Elin has been a member of several boards and commitees at the University as well as in society, and was the Dean of Faculty during 2006-2009.
