Björn Lárus Örvar, Ph.D. Chief Executive Officer Dr. Örvar, co-founder of ORF Genetics, has served as CEO of the company since 2006. Prior to that he was the Director of Gene Technology of ORF Genetics since 2001. Dr. Örvar was the Member of the Board of ORF Genetics from 2001 to 2006. He received his Ph.D. in plant molecular biology from the University of British Columbia, Canada, and was a post-doctoral fellow at McGill University, Montréal.
Júlíus B. Kristinsson, Ph.D., V.P., Director of Operation and FinanceDr. Kristinsson, co-founder of ORF Genetics, has served as the Director of Operation and Finance of the company since 2006. Dr. Kristinsson has been involved in many start-up companies in fish farming and other fields and was the General Manager of ORF Genetics from 2001 to 2006. He received his Ph.D. in biology from the University of New Brunswick, New Brunswick, Canada.

Einar Mäntylä, Ph.D., V.P., Director of Research Liasion and Intellectual PropertyDr. Mäntylä, is co-founder of ORF Genetics. Prior to the current position he served as the Director of Protein Technology of ORF Genetics and the COO of the company. Dr. Mäntylä was the Member of the Board of ORF Genetics from 2001 to 2008. He received his Ph.D. in plant molecular genetics from the Uppsala Genetic Centrum, Swedish Agricultural University and was a post doctoral fellow at The Swedish National Network in Plant Biotechnology.
Soheyl Baban, M.Sc., MBA, Director of Business Development
Mr. Baban joined ORF Genetics in 2007 as the Director of Marketing and Sales. Prior to that he was the Regional Sales Manager, Eastern Canada for Pall Life Sciences and a Global Project Manager at McGill University. Mr. Baban received an M.Sc. from Queens University, Canada and an MBA in strategic management and international marketing from the University of Montréal (HEC), Canada.
Ingimundur Arnason, M.Sc., Director of Marketing and Sales
Mr. Arnason joined ORF in 2010 as the Director of Marketing and Sales. Previous to ORF he worked as Director with Kaupthing bank and prior to that he was a senior management consultant with one of the global management companies, serving various companies within Europe. Mr. Arnason received his M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Aalborg University in Denmark.
