Endotoxin-free

The ISOkine™ growth factors have very low endotoxin levels as compared to e.g. recombinant growth factors from bacterial systems, as measured by the sensitive turbidimetric kinetic assay. This feature of the Orfeus™ expression system may be very important since endotoxins can directly affect cell culture, e.g. causing inflammatory responses*.
